چکیده

Aim: A reliable diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is important in clinical practice and research. The aim this study was to compare the sensitivity specificity Giemsa stain with hematoxylin eosin (H&E), Toluidine blue, Gimenez Warthin-Starry detection gastric biopsy also immunohistochemistry (IHC) H. organism biopsy. Method: retrospective cross-sectional included 200 formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) biopsies age between 25 80 years histopathology Laboratory at Alzaytouna Specialist Hospital, Khartoum, Sudan. samples were sectioned stained H&E, Giemsa, Gimenez, silver, IHC stains. Result: Our showed yielded (40%) positive cases while (60%) negative. all stains had 100% pylori. specificities for toluidine blue stains, 92.3% stain, 85.7% 82.8% H&E stain. Conclusion: are more specific detecting than but less sensitive later.
